From childhood have some understanding as parents had to go through inner healing and did receive some training themselves, mostly from St. Stephen’s Society, Vineyard, and LL Ministries. I began looking for answers to issues when I started mentoring others in ministry in my late teens. I began reading books and researching myself at that point, as well as receiving ministry for my own hurts. At this point I had some introductory training in Ministry Training School. Through the last 20+ years of ministering, I have extended my knowledge and skills through courses, seminars, video teaching series and books. In addition, I read as many articles as I can find, Christian and secular, on emotional and developmental trauma, healthy emotions, relationships, families and churches as I can find. I have applied as much of the acquired knowledge as possible when ministering to others.
Personal ministry experience gives me specific understanding of cross-cultural, missionary kid and missionary struggles, full-time ministry challenges, navigation of Christian singledom, and Chinese-culture specific difficulties.
